Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. She's an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. She was hired by ESPN as a reporter in 2016. Her mother is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual by her age of nine. It is this skill which helped her obtain her first role as an Univision production assistant in Miami. She worked with the producers of National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She was hired as a reporter for The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. Her move to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues as well as drug trafficking and others on the Texas and Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as the Spanish reporter at the newscast from 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter for the newscast of nine p.m. on English and again an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. She was also frequently required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on more responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She also hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was a host of sports on the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. It was the same role for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. In Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. She is older than her sister. There is an older sibling. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she was married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. The summer of the year 2006, Antonietta spent a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta still a senior at high school, yet she knew exactly what career path she wanted. When she was deciding whether Mount Union was right for her Antonietta went to visit the campus. At the end of the day, she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a the opportunity to study a major. Her studies were completed and she was admitted to the university with a degree studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. He encouraged her to have confidence and his passion in journalism was a huge influence on her. She, was determined to fulfill his expectations and never failed him.
